Hi! We are Jason and Katy. We are excited and thankful that you are taking the time to read about us. We are praying for you, and we hope that we can become part of your story.

How did we fall in LOVE? It all started in...

L - Longmont, Colorado. We met while attending a charity bike ride and farm-to-table dinner event hosted by a mutual friend. We met briefly on the bike ride because Jason had stopped to help one of the cyclists with a flat tire. After helping fix the tire, Jason caught up to the group, and we met on the bike ride. After the ride, we sat next to each other at the dinner. There was a beautiful view of the sunset and mountains in the distance. We learned that evening we had a lot of shared interests, including faith, family, cooking, golf, cycling, the outdoors, and traveling.

O - Out on a date. It took Jason a few weeks to call Katy, but from our first date eating Mexican food and attending an impromptu concert, we've had adventures together ever since.

V - Vows - We dated for just over a year before Jason popped the question on a bike ride to the top of lookout mountain. We were married six months later in Beaver Creek, Colorado.

E - Experience- We have wanted to experience being parents since we got married. We have had some setbacks on our journey to conceive naturally, but we believe that God has given us the desire to have children. We trust in His timing and in His plan. We believe that God brought us together at just the right time, and we believe that He will grow our family at just the right time through the process of open adoption.

FAQ’s about placing a baby for Adoption

I'm considering giving my baby up for adoption. How much does that cost?

It won't cost you anything. If you choose to place your baby for adoption, all of your medical and legal fees will be covered and you may be eligible for financial assistance with other pregnancy-related expenses.

I'm experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and don't know who the birth father is. Can I still place my baby for adoption?

Yes. Even if you don’t know the identity of the birth father, you can still choose to make an adoption plan. However, every adoption situation is different. The adoption social worker you’re assigned to will get to know you and your story first, and then guide you through the process accordingly.

When is the right time to talk with an adoption professional?

You can make an adoption plan at any point in your pregnancy, even after the baby has been born. But, it's important to start the process as early in your pregnancy as possible. Connecting with those resources will allow you to gain access to important medical services, including prenatal care, to help ensure a healthy pregnancy.

When I create an adoption plan, will I get to choose who is in the room with me during delivery?

One aspect of your adoption plan is the "Hospital Plan" an outline of how you'd like your hospital stay and delivery to go. You can craft this on your own or with the help of your adoption social worker. But everything is up to you. You’ll be able to choose who comes to the hospital with you, who is in the room with you during delivery, and how much time you’d like to spend with the baby before signing the final papers.

How much contact will I have with the adoptive family after I place my baby with them?

As part of your adoption plan, you'll determine whether or not you’d like to have an open or closed adoption or something in between. Open adoptions may include phone calls, messaging (via social media, email, or text), and/or periodic visits each year. Closed adoptions may include no contact at all or annual updates provided to the birth parent(s) by the adoptive family. Each post-adoption relationship is different and can vary based on what an expectant mother chooses in her adoption plan.

Flaming Foliage Relay September 2023

09/15/2023

Katy ran in the Flaming Foliage Relay this year.  It's a 24 hour run, with a team of 10 people that starts in Idaho Springs Colorado and finishes in Beuna Vista Colorado.  It's 165 miles total!!  Katy ran with a team of 10 people.  Every person had three legs to run.  The race started early, at 5:30 am, we had to leave Denver at 4:00 in the morning.  Our team was in two different cars, 5 people in each car.  Katy's last leg of the run was at 3:00 AM around Tourquise lake up near Leadville CO. (We took this picture right before Katy started running, it's SO dark outside! Katy had to wear a headlamp and reflective gear.)  Thankfully, Jason was there to cheer Katy on in the dark, he also drove the car and followed Katy closley as she ran becuase she was afraid of the animals that might be out late at night in the woods.  After the run, we stayed with all of our friends who participated in the race, at a house in Leadville, CO.  All of our friends brought their families and their kids.  We had a full house full of babies and teenagers. ...

Portugal August 2023

08/07/2023

We love to travel!  This year, we planned a tirp for Jason's birthday to Portugal.  What an amazing country it is.  We spent four days playing golf right by the ocean, we spent some time at thier amazing beaches, we also got to spend time in Porto, Lisbon and Obidos (a very old city with a castle surrounded by a large wall).  The food was amazing, the people were fantastic.  All of the cities in Portugal are safe and clean.  While we were in Lisbon,we discovered that it was Catholic world youth week in the city.  The streets were crowded lots of young Catholics from all around the world, they came there to see the Pope!  He passed by the area where we were staying, alothough we didn't get to see him because of all the crowds of people.    Some of our good friends also happeded to be traveling through Lisbon with their kids while we were there.  We were able to meet up with them for dinner.  We would LOVE to be able to travel with our kids one day and introduce them to all of the beautuful cities around the world.

Family Golf Tournament - July 2023

07/15/2023

Every July we participate in a golf tournament with Katy's family to raise money for Katys nephews school.  It's always a fun day for our family.  This year, the tournament got scheduled on a day that Jason was already planning to be out of town with his brothers so he didn't get to play with us.  Unfortunately Katy's nephew also came down with strep throat the day before the tournament so it was a bummer that we couldn't play golf with him this year.  Despite not having our full family there, we still had a great time!  We always love spending time with family.  We hope to teach a little one how to swig a club one day.  I'm sure they will become better than we are in no time.

Easter 2023

04/15/2023

Spring is in the air in Colorado and we could not have been more excited to welcome a perfect spring day to celebrate Easter.  We started the day by attending church followed by a lovely brunch with Katy's family.  We have large doors in our dining room that open up to our front porch.  We opened up both doors up to let the sunshine and the fresh air revive our home after such a cold winter. Katy made a brunch spread that included eggs benedict with homemade holindase sauce and homemade english muffins (recipe link below), lemon roasted aspargus, garlic and herb roasted potatoes, lemon cured arugula salad with pine nuts and and finally, a mixed berry melody.  Katy's dad made his famous carrot cake for dessert.  It could not have been a more perfect day.   We look forward to the day when we can have a little one in our home to make these kinds of happy days even more joyful.   https://www.seriouseats.com/model-bakery-napa-english-muffin-recipe #easter #brunch #englishmuffins

Opening Day 2023

04/15/2023

GO ROCKIES!!  We love opening day because that means that summer is coming soon.  Warm weather, hot dogs, bike rides and baseball are just around the corner.  We were blessed to get tickets to the opening day game this year through Katy's work.  Although it was colder than we would have liked we had a great time at the game and best of all, the Rockies won!   We love to see the little kids running around at the game, taking in the joy of baseball.  We hope one day that we can introduce our child to the joy of the game.  While Jason and I are both Red Sox fans at heart, we hope that the Rockies have a winning season this year. #rockies #redsox #baseballseason #openingday
